RtBrick Inc, creator of the innovative routing software that brings a cloud-native approach to carrier networks, has completed its financial year, which ran from April 2019 through to March 2020. During the year, the company signed a contract to supply IP/MPLS routing software licenses to a large telecoms operator and established a legal Gmbh entity in Europe. These contributed to RtBrick’s second successive year of revenue growth, with its cumulative revenues now surpassing the company’s total funding.
RtBrick more than doubled its operational capacity over 2019/20, growing headcount by 110 percent over the previous year. This included adding engineering staff in India and expanding international coverage, with new staff locations established in Belgium, Netherlands, Romania and the UK, adding to already established hubs in Germany and Austria.
“This year has seen some significant milestones for RtBrick,” said Pravin S Bhandarkar, CEO and founder of RtBrick. “We have scaled-up our development and customer facing resources to support customer projects in Europe and North America. We’re also seeing an increased interest in the telco market for disaggregated ‘cloud-native’ networks, endorsing our product strategy.”
The end of the financial year culminated in the announcement of RtBrick’s BNG (Broadband Network Gateway) software, which has the capability to reduce the cost of broadband infrastructure by more than half, along with enabling rapid deployment of new IP services. The software is the first use-case for the company’s FullStack routing software, which runs on merchant-silicon hardware and transforms it into carrier IP/MPLS infrastructure.
