Software routing pioneer becomes a principal member of the broadband community
November 9, 2021, Princeton, New Jersey – RtBrick, a pioneer in carrier routing software, has become a principal member of the Broadband Forum, an association of service providers and vendors that drives new innovation and open standards in the broadband industry.
The Broadband Forum’s mission is to unlock the potential for new markets and profitable revenue growth by leveraging new technologies. RtBrick’s membership will allow it to contribute leadership and experience to the community, given the role its software is already playing in the world’s largest broadband networks. RtBrick’s BNG (Broadband Network Gateway) is a good example of a new technology that will help telecoms operators offer consumers more bandwidth at lower costs than has been previously possible.
“Our telco customers are looking to disaggregation of hardware and software as one of the ways they can increase the profitability of their broadband services, as well as automate the way they build and run their networks,” said Pravin S Bhandarkar, CEO and founder of RtBrick. “But this approach only delivers long-term benefits if it is based on open standards and collaboration between vendors, which is why it is important that RtBrick is contributing its expertise to the Broadband Forum.”
